Hello, my name is Jeanine and I am the founder and owner of RIDE LIKE A GIRL RACING, a unique women's motorcycle clothing line I began just a short time ago. It has been an amazing adventure and I am hoping my story will inspire you as much as it has inspired my dedicated followers.
I was not always a motorcycle lover. In fact, I hated the sight of such an intimidating machine. But, the man I fell in love with had his own love for them. When I was about seven months pregnant, I could hear the roar of my husband’s motorcycle as he arrived home from work and just could not bear the thought any longer. I begged him to get rid of it. Not only did I worry about how dangerous it was, but secretly, I always felt left out of all the excitement. After six months of trying my best to convince him to choose a new hobby, I gave up. Instead, I made a decision that would soon turn my life around. Instead of persuading my husband to ditch the bike, I decided to see what his passion was all about. Soon after that, my husband bought me my first bike!
Of course, now I had a bike, but none of the other gear to go with it. Instead of heading to the store, I decided to get creative in my own way. I took one of my old tank tops and painted a design on it. I was amazed at the compliments I received and the encouragement that followed. I ran into women all across Long Island, wondering where my gear was from. Soon, I knew what I had to do. I decided to design my own motorcycle clothing line. Now, RIDE LIKE A GIRL RACING motorcycle apparel is in full swing with supporters all over New York.
RIDE LIKE A GIRL RACING apparel can now be found in storefronts such as the Pro Shop at New Jersey Motorsports Park, Driving Impressions of Millville, New Jersey, and Long Island Kawasaki in Hicksville NY. The designs appeal to all types of women, from the sport minded girls to the fashion conscious women, and are available on a multitude of styles including tank tops, T-shirts, long sleeved t’s and hoodies. Also, most of our line comes from Bella, a women's clothing line that guarantees a well made, comfortable and extremely flattering product manufactured in the USA.
As a stay-at-home mom with a passion for motorcycles, I am committed to providing exclusive clothing and accessories designed by a woman rider, for women riders. When women are in our apparel, they will be recognized for their individuality, strength and ability to live in the moment!!!
